World Bar (Kings X)
World Bar is located on Bayswater road 50m away from the 'Golden Mile' in the heart of Kings Cross/Potts Point. It is a nightclub that caters to all genres of music and is open most nights of the week, making it one of the most successful and busiest clubs in the 'Cross'.
It has specifically themed nights for different music, although it still has other music on different floors, the main dancefloor, downstairs at the back, generally plays the music of the theme, for example on Wednesdays the theme is dubstep so that is a designated dubstep area on another night it is an indie music area. The club itself is 3 stories consisting of 4 different music areas, two outside lounges, two indoor lounges and 5 bars. Its rooms have widely varing decor, from grunge underground to 40's loungeroom.
It is also one of the few clubs to boast a membership program, rewarding its loyal customers with cheap drinks and the ability to win prizes each month, including free signature drinks (teapots) as well as bartabs.
It is the perfect venue for a group with varying tastes in music, or for those of you who want to be able to sit down and talk and actually hear each other as well as having a dance. Definitely a not to be missed experience in Sydney.

The Sydney Harbour Bridge Climb
BridgeClimb Sydney is the company that provides climb experiences to the top of the Sydney Harbour Bridge. Over 2.7 million visitors from over 137 different countries and territories have climbed the southern half of the bridge. The bridge climb offers an experience of a life time, one that will not be forgotten.
To Sydneysiders, the Bridge is more than a photogenic landmark. It's much bigger, much more important than that. We've driven it, walked it, drifted under it and felt that feeling when you glimpse it through the window of a homeward-bound Boeing. The Sydney Harbour Bridge belongs to us, and BridgeClimb wants to share it with the world.

The Lord Nelson Brewery Hotel
Situated in The Rocks, the Lord Nelson Brewery Hotel is Sydneys oldest currently licensed hotel. The exterior of the the hotel is covered in traditional brickwork that is typical of The Rocks area, this reflects the hotels historic nature and contributes to its timeless character.
Inside the Hotel there is a decent amount of room accompanied by an array of comfortably spaced seating and a nice bar area for a relaxed drink. The hotel also has a restaurant which provides a mouthwatering selection of gourmet food on its menu, my personal recommendation would be the Lamb Racks with autumn baby vegetables.
As well as bar and dining the hotel provides simplistic yet eloquent accommodation, the main selling points for staying in the hotel is its prime location in the rocks and being above a quality bar and restaurant. The most attractive feature of the Lord Nelson Hotel is that it is in fact a functioning brewery, and showcases all the beer brewed there on tap. These beers are crafted with superior quality and accompany the gourmet bar snacks to create a premium drinking experience.
With its traditional design and classy setup The Lord Nelson Brewery Hotel is a great place to go for a nice beverage with friends, a tasty lunch or dinner, or to just go have beer and watch the footy. One obvious drawback of such a unique and quality place is the steep prices of its food and drinks, however given the care and craftsmanship that goes into these, the prices are very fair.

Manly Wharf Hotel
Manly Wharf Hotel is a bar/restaurant located on Manly jetty, right next to the ferry station. Its an extremely versatile hotel, offering food, drinks, and cocktails all day everyday. The food is pretty standard hotel cuisine- fish and chips, burgers, caesar salads and all those typical dishes; but its relatively cheap and delicious nonetheless. Amazing views overlooking manly water and a 20 minute ferry ride from the CBD, Manly wharf hotel is easily accessible and defiantly worth a look around. No matter what time of day you will always find people sitting enjoying a drink. During the weekdays, the Hotel turns into a great place to have a business lunch, with many professionals filling the chairs. On a weekend evening, the cocktail bar fills up with a younger crowd looking to let off some steam. Only a quick trip down the main corso of Manly beach, I'd defiently recommend visiting Manly Wharf bar next time your heading down to the beach and are after some laid back afternoon drinks after spending the day in the sun.

The Ivy
'The Ivy' is a some what upper-class, urban bar/nightclub located in the heart of Sydney CBD. Part of the prestiges Merivale group, its name is a well known brand throughout Sydney. During the day it caters for both professionals and young go-getters alike. Whether it be for off-the-clock work lunches, or for sipping relaxing cocktails on a day off, The Ivy caters for it all. At night, it transforms into a pumping venue full of thriving nightlife, regardless of what night of the week it is. Ivy's popularity continues to grow as they host popular musical acts such as Flume, What So Not and Tom Piper. These events usually take place on long weekends, when the club is guaranteed to reach full capacity. If a relaxed, sunday afternoon spent with a cool drink in hand is more your scene, then The Ivy is also the place for you. During the summer season every sunday is put aside for 'MarcoPolo', where people soak up the sun next to the infamous 'Ivy Pool'.
I defiently recommend heading down to Ivy for a place to go on a Saturday night to listen to some great music; or on a sunny weekend afternoon to have a cocktail whilst lying on a sun bed next to the pool. Just be sure to come prepared with credit card in hand, at such a swanky place drinks tend to be a little on the pricey side!
